How can we help?

For help with any Roundhouse app, including CastPoint, TerraSea, and Find the Bite, email info@roundhousedev.com. Tell us which app you’re using, your device and operating-system version, the app version, and what happened. Include the approximate time and steps to reproduce the issue; a screenshot can help.

Please remove passwords, precise private locations, and other sensitive details from screenshots. Support email is not monitored as an emergency service.

CastPoint help

Weather, radar, or tides are missing or look incorrect

Check connectivity, your selected location, the data timestamp, and the selected model or station where available. Retry after a short interval. Forecasts and observations can differ, and some layers have limited coverage. Send us the affected layer, approximate area, and time if the issue continues.

The app cannot find my location

Check CastPoint’s location permission in your device settings. If supported, select a place or map point manually. A manually selected point is still sent to the service to return location-specific information.

Lightning alerts are not arriving

If the app says push setup is pending, alerts are not active on that platform. Where available, check that alerts are enabled, your device permits notifications, and the subscription has not expired. “Follow me” also requires background-location permission; force-closing the app or restrictions on background activity may stop updates. Alerts are never guaranteed—use official warnings and your own observations for safety.

How do I remove saved places or stop location updates?

Remove saved spots in the app. Turn off lightning alerts while connected if they are active, then adjust location and notification permissions in device settings. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove local data, but backups and some secure-storage records may persist separately.

Find the Bite help

The new Find the Bite marine fishing assistant is in development. Contact us with product questions or feedback; do not assume planned features are available yet.

If you mean the older Find the Bite Waypoint Explorer or cloud-sync service, mention that in your email so we can identify the correct product. Its account and storage behavior differs from the new app.

TerraSea help

For account access, waypoint synchronization, shared layers, routes, or trail-camera issues, include your app version and the affected feature. Never send your password, connection tokens, or private waypoint files unless we arrange a suitable way to investigate.

If edits have not synchronized, reconnect and allow synchronization to complete before clearing storage or reinstalling; local unsynchronized changes can be lost. Check a layer’s visibility and membership before sharing locations. To stop activity-location sharing, use the app’s sharing controls while online and review device location permissions.

Disconnecting a trail-camera provider stops the connection; delete imported photos separately if you want to remove them. AI wildlife suggestions can be incorrect and should be reviewed.

Privacy and data deletion

Email info@roundhousedev.com with the subject “App privacy or deletion request.” Include the app name and describe what you want accessed, corrected, or deleted. For TerraSea or another service with an account, identify the account email, but never send its password.

The current CastPoint consumer app does not require an account. Saved places are local to the app; see the steps above to remove them. For an active lightning subscription, use the app’s off control while connected. If that is not possible, contact us for help locating the record without sharing an installation secret.

For TerraSea, you can request deletion of your account and associated cloud data by email. Uninstalling alone does not remove these records. Tell us whether you want to close the account or remove particular content.

We may ask for limited information to verify and locate your data. Legal, security, or backup-retention requirements may limit immediate deletion; we will explain any applicable limits. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

Plan carefully. Stay aware.

Our apps do not replace official weather alerts, nautical charts, emergency communications, or current fishing regulations. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services using an appropriate emergency channel.
